The Cree School Board organizes four annual events at the regional level, to help inspire student learning in the arts and science, to encourage public speaking skills, and to celebrate Cree culture.
Each year, we host a regional art show to help encourage students' creativity in the visual arts. Students are invited to enter their work to the show, which is judged by community members.
To encourage public speaking, we invite secondary-level students to write a persuasive argument and deliver it orally in public to an audience of their peers, teachers, and others.
Annie Whiskeychan was an important champion of Cree education. We honour her contributions with a day of cultural games, activities, and competitions at the local level, and regionally.
