Welcome message from school principal
Welcome to the École Rainbow Elementary School website. Education is a joint venture between school and home. Please take the time to search our school website to find out about the many educational activities and resources available for you and your child.
Jolina Gull Blacksmith Memorial School, Rainbow Elementary School, and Willie J. Happyjack Memorial School offer services in Cree, French and English to 560 students. We work with our students to help them learn through the guaranteed and viable curriculum (GVC) and via daily social interactions in which we promote the rich Cree culture and language.
We very much appreciate and value the support that parents give their children at home to help them achieve those goals of academic and social learning. We are committed to providing your child with a safe and caring environment at school and, as such, we model, teach, discuss, and expect appropriate conduct to achieve this. Our teachers and staff set high expectations for our students, your children.

Breakfast program
All students who arrive at school prior to the start of 9 a.m. classes are provided with cereal bars, yogurt and/or fruit for breakfast.

Preschool education is offered at Jolina Gull Blacksmith Memorial Preschool, one of our Waswanipi schools triad.
Youth Fusion
Lunch-time and after school activities are available to students through our partnership with Youth Fusion. Some of the activities include robotics, leadership development, media, and healthy living.
