Welcome message from school principal
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to our new webpage. Here at J.O.R.M.S our team of dedicated staff value the relationship with parents/guardians and the community as a whole. This website was created with this relationship in mind by serving as a tool to further open lines of communication and keep everyone informed of the great things happening in your school. Here you will be able to quickly access school calendars, schedules, staff contact information as well as keep abreast of important announcements regarding school closure, bus cancellations and scheduled special events.
Please take a look around the site and feel free to contact us with any feedback or information.

To encourage equal focus on academics and athletics, MES offers the BEAR program in collaboration with Wemindji Minor Sports.
All minor sports athletes are expected to meet BEAR (Behaviour, Effort, Attendance and Respect) expectations each and every day, both in sport and in school in order to remain eligible for league and tournament play.
Culture Camp
The school owns and maintains a Culture Camp at km 6 on the access road. Our students often benefit from full day excursions to the camp.
Homework Help
Breakfast program
All students are provided breakfast food at 9 a.m. in their first-period class.
Transportation
JORMS offers two buses to transport our Pre-K to Grade 2 students to and from school. We ask all parents and guardians to be familiar with the CSB Daily School Transportation Policy.
Safe Schools
RTI
Our school runs on a Response to Intervention model. The RTI model ensures that students are meeting specific learning targets and that there are interventions/supports in place for those students struggling to meet specific targets and/or extension activities planned for those students who have already mastered the targets.
SNAP
Our students benefit from a custom-designed behavioural enrichment program. SNAP (Stop Now and Plan) teaches students to think through the consequences of their actions.
