Safe Schools

Safety and comfort are top priorities for the Cree School Board.

Safe and effective environments

We believe students, teachers and school personnel have the right to learn and work in safe, effective environments. In fact, safety and comfort in our buildings and classrooms are crucial to our overall mission of student success.

Our Department of Material Resources Services ensures students and employees are offered the safest, most innovative and pleasant facilities for their learning and working environments.

Emergency Preparedness

The Cree School Board supports and implements an Emergency Preparedness plan for each school and workplace.

Bullying Prevention

Our pdf Safe Schools and Anti-Bullying Policy  is rooted in the belief that all students, teachers and school personnel deserve a safe, effective environment in which to learn and work. Bullying threatens this feeling of safety and can take on many forms - both at school and at home. Our school principals take every form of bullying seriously and address it through a variety of interventions.

The Board also implements programs designed to create connectedness and respect. We also know that we will only be as successful as our partnership with home, community, and school.

Code of Conduct for Students

To ensure our learning environments are safe, nurturing, and enriching, the Cree School Board does not tolerate any disorderly, uncooperative, or violent behaviours.

Each school adapts its specific Code of Conduct to the framework of the Safe Schools and Anti-Bullying Policy. Visit your school's website for more information.
