Stronger Together Symposium

A gathering for parents and guardians of children and adults with special needs

December 3 to 4, 2025 - Gatineau, QC

With the vision of becoming ᒫᒨ ᒪᔥᑰᑳᐴᐦᑖᐤ “Stronger Together”, the Symposium provides a space for Cree beneficiary parents and guardians who directly care for children and adults with special needs to connect through workshops, sharing circle and presentations.

This year, the Symposium returns to support parents and guardians with practical tools, resources, and strategies to help each child reach their full potential.

We look forward to meeting you and exploring new ways to move forward in partnership.

Who can participate?

  • Parents and guardians of special needs children and adults (Cree Beneficiaries).
  • Each family may register up to two participants.
  • First come, first served.

What’s included for participants?

  • Travel - private vehicle, bus charter (inland), or air charter (coastal).
  • Meals on travel days.
  • Breakfast and lunch for two days.
  • One banquet and per diem for two suppers.
  • Three nights lodging (one room per family).
  • Workshop materials and handouts.
  • Giveaways, door prizes, and more.

Important Note

  • Childcare and respite care are not available on-site.
  • Separate funding is available to support childcare or respite care needs
  • The Cree School Board offers daily financial assistance for eligible childcare:
    • $125/day for the first child under 18
    • $50/day for each additional child
    • No age limit applies for individuals with disabilities
