Voyageur Memorial School Closed for In person Instruction from January 11th to 15th
Please read the following letter for more information about our school closure and details about distance instruction from January 11th to 15th.
Happy New Year to all of our students, parents and guardians. This is not what we had hoped the start of the new year would entail but with Chief Neeposh’s most recent announcement, VMS will not be open for in-person instruction this week. The safety and well-being of our students is as always our top concern.
All three schools will be closed and Grades 1 to Secondary 5 students will be receiving distance instruction until further notice. Some teachers had prepared academic plans to all students before the Christmas Holidays. Those who have not received anything will be getting something momentarily.
Your child’s teacher(s) will be in contact via a phone call, class FB page, Messenger or through a class meeting online by using the TEAMS platform. Please, reach out directly to the teachers or us if your social media/ phone number contact has changed or if you need assistance.
We will be reassessing the situation and will communicate an update regarding the following week of January 18 to 22, 2021.
Teachers should be able to reach each all their students. Please advise the school if you have planned absences for your child during the mentioned days. You can send a message directly to your child’s teacher. You can also contact us via email or or through the Voyageur Memorial School Facebook Pages.
Your cooperation is essential for this confinement plan to be as efficient as possible. For further assistance, please refer to the contact information below.
