Current Student

So, you have made the decision to pursue post-secondary studies, and you've registered! Congratulations! Here's some of the important information you need to know about the support we can give you.

Required Documents

If you were sponsored during Fall 2022 semesters, you must supply the following documents to PSSS as early as possible to avoid unnecessary delays in your financial assistance. 

  • Academic Transcripts from your Fall 2022 semester
  • Registration & Schedule for your Winter 2023 semester

Travel Requests

Before travel

Travel Requests

Your Travel Requests must be submitted at least 20 days before your planned travel date.

Travel Claims

Your Travel Claims must be submitted within 30 days of your travel dates.

*Please note that travel claims will not be processed without travel requests.

Student Resources

Resource Centres

PSSS offices in Montreal and Gatineau offer Resource Centres for your use. 

  • Library with First Nations resources and reference materials

  • Computer lab including internet access, desktop computers, Wi-Fi, printing services, photocopying and scanning equipment

  • Study rooms

  • Playroom for children

  • Lounge

  • Kitchen

As a PSSS-sponsored student, you have exclusive access to the Resource Centres for studying and socializing during the day, evenings and weekends. To arrange access to the resource centres after working hours, contact the PSSS offices during working hours.

Workshops & Seminars

Watch for our group workshops on budgeting, stress management, time management, and other topics that help you to be successful. 

One-on-one sessions are available upon request.

Additional Support

Life challenges and difficult issues can arise. We offer an additional support service that you and your dependents can access.  We welcome you to explore the wide range of services by clicking on this link: www.workhealthlife.com.

All services with Shepell are confidential within the limits of the law.

Student Associations

Cree Student Associations can be established to create a sense of community. They are voluntary and managed by students. 

Where available, you will find activities for you as a Cree student, as well as your dependents. Please contact the Student Affairs Technician for details.
