Throughout history, we have come together in assembly to share stories and culture, to review recent events, and to make important decisions.
In fact, some of the most important decisions are taken as a group, after stories are shared, and opinions considered.

Today, a Regional General Assembly of Cree School Board partners is held biennally. The Regional General Assembly responds to a variety of purposes, from engaging members of Eeyou Istchee in the review and shaping of their education.

The 2016 Regional General Assembly provided an opportunity for members of the Cree Nation to learn more about the 2016-2021 Strategic Action Plan. Stakeholders from 10 Cree communities were able to listen to presentations from department directors. Participants from within and outside of the School Board responded to the Strategic Themes and Key Initiatives, adding their questions and experiences to refine our understanding.
