Important Notice: Student Personal Information and Digital Learning Platforms
The Cree School Board Department of Digital Learning is sharing this important notice to parents, guardians, and students about how student personal information is used in digital learning platforms.
In elementary and high schools, some teachers use approved online learning platforms to support learning in class. To create student accounts and give access, the following information may be used:
- First and last name
- School name
- Grade and group number
- CSB email and password
Cree School Board Director General Caroline Mark states the board’s dedication to being cautious with information saying, “protecting personal and confidential information is integral to maintaining the trust placed in our organization.”
Per the CSB’s pdf EDU-19 policy, all platforms are carefully reviewed to meet strong privacy and security standards before they are approved for classroom use.
