Chisasibi hosts Regional Science Fair

The Regional Science Fair with about 60 students from around iiyiyiu aschii gathered for a science project competition with the theme of Science in Action with Indigenous Peoples. The science fair took place on February 23, 2023 at James Bay Eeyou School in Chisasibi.
“We were particularly proud of the work our student council members did at hosting. From welcoming visitors, giving tours, to also managing the food service,” said Brian Dioszeghy, Principal of James Bay Eeyou School, “They were amazing. Finally, our Science Team were very committed and worked so hard to make the Fair come together. I am so grateful for their dedication to our students.”
The winning projects received cash prizes as well as the opportunity to participate in the Quebec Indigenous Science Fair (QISF), which will be held in Quebec City at Université Laval on March 21, 22, and 23, 2023.
