Laptops will be provided by the Cree School Board.

Internships

After each certification, students will participate in structured internships with established IT companies and organizations, gaining practical experience and industry connections.

Time Commitment

  • Students will complete 3 tiers over a period of 28 months.
  • From September 8, 2025 to January 2028.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Program Content

To prepare for careers in the tech industry, students will gain skills in:

  • Hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Linux & Windows administration
  • Database management
  • IT business fundamentals
  • IT professionalism, e-mail etiquette, intro to Google Classroom, uploading of documents, file storage & other foundations

  • IT Fundamentals (CompTIA)

  • A+, Hardware/Software Trouble Shooting and Help Desk Ticketing Systems

  • Internships (3 internships)

  • Server+ (CompTIA)

  • Windows Server Administration & Active Directory

  • Linux+ (CompTIA)

  • Network+ (CompTIA)

  • Programming and Scripting (Python, PowerShell, C#, JAVA)

  • Security+ (CompTIA)

  • CYSA+ (CompTIA)

  • Pentest+ (CompTIA)

  • Database Administration/CRUD

  • IT Business Incubator, Accounting, Proposal Writing and Procurement

  • IT Electives (IBM Skill Builder, Cisco NetAcademy, Microsoft University, AWS Academy, NCC/UNB Hicks program, Deloitte Advanced Cloud Program)

Prerequisites

  • Cree Beneficiary
  • High School Graduate
    OR
    Mature Student (21+) and has been out of school for at least 2 years.

  • If you have graduated secondary V, please send your diploma.
