Looking for a New Opportunity? Teach a Vocational Program!

A state-of-the-art mechanics’ workshop sits on the first floor of the new Mistissini Sabtuan Learning Centre. The bright room features tall ceilings, fully stocked toolboxes, and workstations for students to tinker and learn. Vocational consultants are busy at work, ordering final equipment and putting finishing touches on the space. In an office nearby, a staff member checks the application portal, counting over 50 local applicants eager to take the Auto Mechanics program.

Apply now for Iyeskuwiiu, our NEW in-community Springboard to DCS program

Iyeskuwiiu, a CEGEP-level Springboard program customized for Cree students, is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year.

Iyeskuwiiu is a unique, culturally relevant CEGEP-level program offered by Sabtuan Adult Education Services (SAES) in partnership with John Abbott College. The program helps students prepare for post-secondary while deepening their Cree identity. All courses were developed by Cree community members, for Cree students. The courses include Cree Language, Power & Influence in Eeyou Istchee (Humanities), and land-based Physical Education.

Submit your projects for the Adult Student Creative Showcase

This June, adult education students will have a chance to showcase their talents and win prizes at our Creative Showcase event!

Students are invited to submit photos or videos of their creative projects. All forms of creative expression are welcome (crafting, visual art, woodworking, welding, cooking, music, creative writing, etc.).
